Idealist Consulting's top moments of 2015

By: Bethany Williams

As January draws to a close and the loose ends of 2015 are all tied up, we’re looking forward to big things in the coming year at Idealist Consulting. All of the changes, shifts, and moves we plan on making in 2016 have been built on a firm foundation of ten years in the CRM space and are building on the momentum we gathered over the past twelve months.

Here’s a look back on the top moments for Idealist Consulting in 2015:

  1. Marketing Automation Launch:  While we’ve been fans of the tools and methodologies of marketing automation for a couple of years now, in 2015 we officially started offering our skills and expertise in marketing automation to our clients. Has your business or nonprofit felt the pinch of trying to use multiple systems that don’t communicate with each other to reach out to your constituents? Check out our whitepaper, read a couple of blogs, or schedule a call with us to get your foot in the door of marketing automation.

  2. Pay It Forward:  Through our Pay It Forward program, private sector clients contribute consulting hours to a nonprofit of their choice. 2015 saw us successfully enroll ten companies in the program. That means we gifted 50 hours to nonprofits last year!

  3. Private Sector Projects:  As we continue to grow our private sector client base, we’re happy to report that we have successfully launched 20 private sector projects!

  4. TMC at Dreamforce: This year at Dreamforce, our client The Mission Continues presented on how the platform we’ve built for them helps to organize volunteers nationwide. The Mission Continues provides essential services to military veterans by offering them avenues to volunteer in their communities. The technical solutions we provided transformed their volunteer model, creating a bottom-up driven approach that made communication and coordination easier with improved outcomes for both the volunteers and the organization as a whole.

  5. Engagement Party with Cody:  Cody Goldberg from Harper’s Playground gave a riveting presentation on the elements of play and how we use it to move past fear. As a designer of handicap accessible parks, Cody explored the notion of play for all at our Dreamforce Engagement Party.

  6. Our New Digs:  Idealist Consulting has moved! We’ve set up shop on Mississippi Ave. in North Portland. The 1923 craftsman home was previously used as a showroom by Cooper Design Builders and has been a great space for hosting user group meetings and community events. Come check out our sweet digs in one of the busiest retail and restaurant areas in town.

  7. Champions Retreat:  Portland served as the site of the 2015 B-Corp Champions Retreat. We had a great time hanging out during the street fair and were inspired to continue conducting our business with the higher purpose of serving the greater good.

  1. 2 Awesome Private Sector events in Portland and Seattle:  Branching into the private sector has been an exciting new adventure. We hosted these events for local Salesforce users to network, ask questions, and do a little hands-on-learning. Plans are already in motion for our first private sector event of this year.

Thanks for joining us for the wild ride that was 2015. As we say goodbye to yesteryear, check out the hottest CRM trends of 2015 and what lies ahead for 2016.
