Press Release: Idealist Consulting Announces Move To Serve All Sectors in 2015

By: Kirsten Kippen

December 15, 2014—PORTLAND, OR—Idealist Consulting announced that after nearly a decade of working primarily with nonprofits and B Corporations, in 2015 they will be expanding their client base to include more small to medium sized private sector businesses.

This announcement comes on the heels of several ambitious private sector Salesforce engagements, including work with Evanta and Tripwire, as well as the purchase of a three-story office building in order to better serve clients in both public and private sectors. Ben Jefferson-Dow of private sector client Envoy commented, “Idealist brought a familiarity with business process efficiencies that not only gives us measurable outcomes that helps us better serve our clients, they've now made it easier for us to scale our own business."  Portland has been receiving national recognition for its progressive small business and tech community lately; Inc.com recently published an article mentioning Idealist Consulting as one of the fastest-growing businesses of 2014, commenting “While Portland touts the likes of Intel and advertising heavyweight Wieden+Kennedy, it’s the smaller companies that are really making a splash this year.”

Idealist Consulting maintains its commitment to the nonprofit sector, and has been closely involved with the latest developments around the Nonprofit Starter Pack and NGO Connect. Idealist Consulting has worked with several enterprise clients on large-scale deployments, including SEIU, Sightlife, and most recently Airlink, a 2014 Force for Change winner.

As CEO Rob Jordan says, “We believe there is a need for thoughtful and purpose-driven consulting in all sectors. Some of the best innovation comes from collaboration across sectors, as we have seen in our Pay It Forward Program [where private sector companies can donate project time back to nonprofits].” Looking ahead to 2015, they will continue this focus on enterprise nonprofit deployments, coupled with an increasing number of small-medium business deployments.
