As a Project Manager (PM), you will be a part time, remote project manager interfacing with clients and a remote team of consultants on Salesforce.com implementations. The PM will be accountable for driving projects to success while delivering on time and on budget. The PM will be responsible for obtaining overall client satisfaction, managing client expectations and effectively leading project teams. The position will require 10-30 hours per week, with the flexibility in schedule to address potential issues in real time and to manage projects in three time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Develop project plans based on previously scoped requirements. Manage scope of projects from inception to closure. Define, develop and actively manage implementation schedules and project budgets. Coordinate resources, prepare project teams for kickoff, ensure effective completion of project milestones, control project scope and mitigate risks.
  • Client and Project Team Communication: Manage biweekly/ weekly calls with client and technical consultant.
  • Quality Management: Ensure project consultants are delivering to configuration, development and methodology standards. Promote teamwork and culture of accountability. Provide quality project deliverables, including kickoff presentations, project plans, status reports, budget burn reports, client requirements, design documentation and deployment plans. Assist in quality testing prior to user testing.

Desired Experience 

  • 2+ years project management experience, PMP Certification is a strong plus.
  • Experience managing projects with technical and cross functional/departmental components.
  • Grasp on cloud-based tools, techniques, systems and solutions required. Working knowledge and project management experience of Salesforce.com strongly preferred.
  • Experience with managing both Waterfall and Agile software development methodologies.
  • Previous experience working with nonprofits, experience working in fundraising and program management is a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial drive and work ethic, and passion for helping nonprofits change the world.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel and clients, both in verbal and written modes, and be able to pay close attention to detail.
  • Experience working from a home office.
  • Excellent customer service skills a must.
  • Experience in conflict resolution, negotiation and persuasion.
  • Ability to proactively manage risk and influence others.

This may be a salary or a part-time contracted 1099 position.
