Idealist Consulting a finalist for Oregon Ethics in Business award
Idealist Consulting has been named a finalist in the Rotary Oregon Ethics in Business Award in the small business category. The winner will be announced at the Oregon Ethics in Business banquet held Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at the Portland Art Museum with keynote speaker Lisa Sedlar, CEO of Green Zebra.
The Oregon Ethics in Business banquet honors organizations and individuals who have demonstrated ethical business practice in its broadest interpretation: in the workplace, the marketplace, the environment, and the community. Awards are given in three categories: large business, small business, and nonprofit. The recipients of these awards will have, by act and example, gone beyond the expected to achieve excellence in ethical business practices.
Here is a brief excerpt from Idealist Consulting’s submission:
“We treat our employees with the same respect and honesty as we do our clients. Trust is the glue that keeps our work family together. Celebrating our commitment to being humans first, we pay living wages, hire for diversity, encourage and support the importance of a healthy work-life balance. On a daily basis, we act according to strong company values and employees are empowered to lead projects and take initiative.”
In its 14th year, the Oregon Ethics in Business banquet is hosted by the Rotary Club of Portland, one of the largest Rotary Clubs in the world. In addition to these business awards, Rotary will help promote ethical conduct by granting five $2,000 scholarships by the Portland Rotary Charitable Trust.
