Announcing the 2021 Idealist Grant Winner
At Idealist Consulting, we are committed to delivering innovative technical solutions to empower organizations working on some of the world’s most important causes.
In aid of our mission, each year, we donate up to 10% of every private sector project to an annual grant. We call this grant the Idealist Grant.
The Idealist Grant is our way of acknowledging the important and inspiring work our nonprofit clients are doing.
This year we received an impressive group of applications from global, national, and local nonprofit organizations. After much thoughtful deliberation and help from an internal selection committee, we were finally able to come to a decision.
And the winner is...
We are thrilled to announce that Adelante Mujeres has been selected as the winner of the 2021 Idealist Grant. With immediate effect, the organization will receive a credit of up to 80 hours of pro-bono work with Idealist Consulting.
When asked why they were deserving of a grant, Adelante Mujeres’ nominator, Dar Veverka, a Solution Architect at Idealist Consulting, said, “They provide an amazing array of services for the community but struggle with manual tracking & duplication of efforts without a centralized program management and grants management platform.”
In addition to looking at multiple other deciding factors, what really set this organization apart was their proven ability to support, uplift and empower Latina and immigrant communities by providing access to education, microenterprise, and leadership services.
Dar continues, “Adelante Mujeres supports an under-resourced population of Latina women and families in Washington County, Oregon. They don't seek to drop in with aid and leave—they work in the community to train Latinas as leaders and in self-sustaining microenterprises. Interwoven throughout their services are focuses on not just the participant but on their family members, on health, on healing. An Idealist Consulting Grant for them would support an organization empowering people of color and immigrant populations.”
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as last year’s terrible wildfires in Oregon, these communities have suffered greatly. We hope this grant will provide the necessary resources to make life easier.
In the words of Adelante Mujeres’ Grant Manager, Andrea Chunga-Celis, “The Idealist Grant will address database improvements that span 11 programs across Adelante Mujeres. The additional 80 hours will go directly to support the launch of Adelante Mujeres’ Salesforce database and Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (powered by Pardot) instance. This will ensure long-term sustainability not only for the organization but our community.”
¡Felicidades Adelante Mujeres! We’re thrilled to partner with you.
